'Ello! 8) How are we chucks?

I wanna rant about something, I don't even know if it's an actual rant. But I don't know..I just don't understand why people get worked up about it.
Okay well I'm browsing through profiles and profiles on dA and I seem to be finding journals of people complaining about fanart. Well, people DRAWING nothing but fanart.
Stfu, seriously. People can draw what they want to draw :/. Is it even worth complaining about? LOADS of people draw fanart on here, and people like that! I don't see why it's so bad! xD I love drawing fanart. Even if I were to make "my own characters/story blah blah" I don't think many people would be interested because they can't relate to it. Yet people can with fanart. I'm not saying just drawing your own character is bad either. I just personally prefer to just draw fanart because I enjoy doing that.
Why not go and complain about people who STEAL other peoples art? That's worse.
And another thing, I don't understand why people moan over people just faving their art and not commenting. Be grateful they looked at your art because faving is just the same as commenting. They like your art at the end of the day~.

Okay well, onto a Mankin topic, anyone seen the new KZB? Hao looks gorrgeous~! 8) Although dispite not liking Lyserg, his one is really pretty *w*!..but I still don't like him

Also, because I literally visit MankinTrad every day (lolsaddo) I've been reading the comments, talking about Yoh "dying" at the end. Which is still unknown but from everyones opinion on it, I seriously believe Yoh will either die or do the whole "Hayo" merge with Hao even when I thought of this awhile ago. Which is upsetting omg D: I don't want Yoh to die he's awesome baaww

. I'm worried about Manta too.. arghh it's so frustrating |: *tries not to think about it*. We've got 2 months left, should fly by 8D.

Considering I've made my own journal entries talking about "hating" doing fan art, I agree that people should kind of ease up: you're absolutely right about people being more connected with the characters they've seen before, because they're more popular and well known (i.e. Shaman King fan art for huge SK fans like all of us ^^ I seem to get way more comments sometimes on SK or other fan art than original characters). I think what bothers me and some of these other people is that sometimes if a person draws WAY TOO MUCH of fan art or even just one story, it might seem that the artist has no real imagination or creativity to create their own characters. I don't go around flaming people for it or consciously (sp?) think people are bad if they only do fan art, but it's something to consider for anyone who draws/writes I guess, like using different mediums for their artwork rather than stick with the same old pen and paper (again, not saying that is particularly bad).

Thanks for reading my journal! xDD I'm glad you've told your own opinion on it aswell because I can see where you're coming from too C:. It just all depends on what you like to draw, I know you have your own SK OC's (If I'm right?) and thats awesome ( as do I but I don't post pictures here because I feel they're not that interesting even if I've worked on them xD). People really need to chill out, could understand if it was art thieft, now THAT's not creative at all xD.

Actually, no, I prefer not to have Mankin OCs. Again, if they were meant to be there, Takei would have put them in the story ''xD And yes, Mary Sues/Gary Stus and tracing other's work goes BEYOND being uncreative, it goes straight to down right criminal *shakes head*

From what I understand, people complain about the bad</> fan artists. So, not you.

Most of the complains I've seen are about people that have crappy art and don't even try to do better, people that rape the original and come up with the most nonsensical crap, people who are just plain annoying and obsessed, and so on. Ya know, those kind of people.

You have to admit, there are a lot of people who draw fan art because that's all they can do anyway. Not saying you're one of them (judging by your art, you definitely have the talent), but there are many people out there doing just that. Also, there are a lot of people that don't draw, but just fave everything related to their favorite shows, even if it has no content.

And that takes away the spotlight from people who spend hours on each piece of art they make.
Basically, that's what all the complaints are about, from what I've seen.
